In 2005, after many rejections from editors, I got my very first paid writing assignment (thanks Student Traveler Magazine).
Since then, I have built a portfolio of hundreds of articles for newspapers (The Guardian, The Times, The Scotsman), magazines (The Observer, Whitelines, Men’s Health), websites (Skyscanner, Craft, Typewise) and contributions to guidebooks (Snow-Search Japan, Skiing Europe, 1001 Escapes).
Having spent 20 years writing for others, I now write mainly for myself. Find my work at:
Deep South Austria - a blog covering my life in Austria’s rural, southern hinterlands, and Slovenia: Life in the Slo Lane - a blog about a country that seduced me and has never let me go.
